We're talking about capacity to produce 600MHZ chips after 1H 2001. Wouldn't you expect Intel would have plenty of otherwise useless .18 capacity at that point? The transition from .13 to .9 should be starting around then.

As far as design resources are concerned, however scarce they may be at Intel, I would expect them to be scarcer at a company 1/6 its size (and 1/50 its market cap).
