My opinion was that the newsletter left the reader hanging on what to do. Of course, there was the private company mentioned, and the 2/29/00 stock addition was clear. But who, specifically, to focus upon as an investor was unclear. Maybe we have to wait until 3/13/2000. I've gone to his boards, as well, and still am not sure on how to proceed. I agree with your comments regarding jdsu, but I'm not positive. Good luck.

Did anyone got the feeling that the report might have been negative for JDSU.

Since Terabeam is a last mile solution, I don't know if their not using JDSU's pump lasers is a negative. My question is whether the pump lasers they are using can compete with JDSU's where JDSU is big. I got the impression the pump lasers TB will be using have been around for a little while. So I need to assume they are not directly competitive with JDSU's.

Caveat - I have not read the report carefully yet and won't be able to for a while. So I may be off base here.

I really didn't get any negative on JDSU. As a matter of fact, if you look at JDSU, you have a company used to designing and manufacturing equipment similar to that needed by TeraBeam. Additionally, JDSU is sitting on 1 billion dollars. It would seem that this could easily become a new product line for JDSU providing JDSU is even interested (considering they're doing everything they can to keep up with the need for their products already).
