William I have not been able to find enough info re the x box to conclude that MSFT is attempting to "force a standard" in the game bus. They sure do seem to be hoping to really push the speed envelope, that's for sure. Whether it helps sell their machine or not, we'll have to wait at least two years to know that. informed speculation: siliconinvestor.com
