The inside word is that inteL is producing only 200 of these 1 Gig chips a week and that m. deE is getting all of these "research quantity" products.

I do not think that, that is odd at all. The world has changed...I think. People are simply having a problem adjusting to it.

Assuming AMD wasn't going to make enough profit on the X-Box to justify the production costs and loss of other business opportunities, would the deal have still been worth it to have future gaming software optimized for AMD's 3D Now instructions? This appears to an area where AMD has an advantage which will not be lost to Intel. See
