I completely concur with Orion and Zeev on the forces driving Rambus. If Tate is even remotely close on the statement he recently made about some analysts seeing Rambus in technology in half of a 70 billion dollar market in three years, curent valuations look cheap.

With the authorized shares up to 500m, Rambus may go to market. If, like Broadcom, JDSU, Cisco and others they use this massive liquidity to buy complimentary technologies, then they can build a real fortress around their market position. I need the real tech pros on the thread to tell me how this could best be done, but I absolutely believe that people like Tate and Harmon, who have been around this game for many years, have shopping lists.

Hey, in recent years Rambus needed a proxy, Intel. to infuse capital into semiconductor makers to get them to make Rambus product....it will soon be possible to Rambus to tweak fabs or others in exactly the same way to ensure product is built and promoted properly.

Believe me, the power of this new stock price should not be underestimated. It opens hundreds of doors.
