ole 49r, I don't even look at the implied volatility. My decisions are based on my valuation of the company versus market cap. Sometimes my trades are short term when the market moves suddenly, but more often I hold short positions for months and long positions for years, so I don't try to "time the market".

OT Hi Ole49r! Can you tell me the range that implied volatility covers and in what portions of it are the times to short or buy a stock identifiable?
