Brian, gays are tolerated by society and treated humanely.

Tell that to the kid who got beaten to death not so long ago.

There are still plenty of places in the US where stomping a fag is considered a legitimate and entertaining pastime.

Well, Charley, sure, things have gotten better than they were 50 years ago, but Prolife wants to bar them from being teachers. How do you accomplish that? McCarthyesque witch-hunts for gays, having your government make teachers sign statements?

George Bush won't talk to them. McCain gets attacked for treating them like human beings.
