TDSOFT's Capabilities Highlighted!!

I just saw this come out. While it doesn't speak of Com21's
efforts with TDSoft, it does speak to TDSoft's capabilities
and potentials. Com21 should be able to take advantage of
these potentials as their relationship with TDSoft grows.
Very important is the extensive testing TDSoft has done
with "15 different switches" "in over 25 countries". Looks
like it will be a very fruitful partnership.

Telmax Communications Joins Tdsoft Communicationsøô VoNGA Partner Program
Partnership Targets Delivering Voice Over DSL Solution
Fremont, Calif., March 10, 2000 - Telmax Communications Corporation, a
global provider of single-pair Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) access
solutions, and Tdsoft Communications Ltd., a world leader in Voice Over Next
Generation Access (VoNGA) solutions for the telecommunications industry,
announced today that Telmax Communications has joined Tdsoftøôs VoNGA
partner program. The combined Voice over DSL (VoDSL) solution, using the
Tdsoft VoNGATE(tm) Voice Access Gateway and Telmax Xiad2000 Integrated
Access Device (IAD), allows small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs), SOHOs,
and high-end residential customers to benefit from multiline voice services
and high-speed data over a single pair. Both companies will conduct
interoperability testing to ensure the delivery of voice services over DSL
broadband infrastructures, using the V5.2 standard, to incumbent telephone
companies, new competitive carriers and access providers. The V5.2 standard,
which specifies an open interface for access network systems including POTS
and ISDN with dynamic bandwidth allocation and protection, was approved by
the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and the
International Telecommunications Union (ITU).
The Telmax Xiad2000 Residential Gateway is a next generation splitterless
VoDSL residential/SOHO gateway that provides øáfull rateø© ADSL high-speed
data transport in addition to four toll-quality øáderivedø© POTS lines over
a single copper pair, thereby linking branch offices, home offices and
individual subscribers to their Network Service Providers (NSPs). Using
industry-standard Discreet Multi-Tone (DMT) technology, the Xiad2000
supports the ANSI T1.413 issue 2 standard, TR 57 and TR909. Upstream and
downstream data rates are dynamically allocated across the DMT spectrum to
minimize noise and maximize service reliability. Each session automatically
reconfigures the rate to attain optimal communication.
VoNGATE(tm), Tdsoftøôs versatile voice access gateway system allows telecom
providers to offer wireline-quality voice services over next-generation
access (NGA) networks such as DSL, cable or wireless. Capable of supporting
any combination of ATM, IP and TDM access technologies while fully
leveraging existing PSTN switch equipment, VoNGATE(tm) allows flexible
system deployment and facilitates future network expansion. VoNGATE(tm) is
compatible with voice switches supporting standard V5.2, GR-303, TR 008, CAS
or proprietary signaling interfaces.
According to Telmax Communicationsøô Vice President of Marketing Franchesca
Walker, øáThe Xiad2000 residential/SOHO gateway and Tdsoftøôs VoNGATE(tm)
Voice Access Gateway allow service providers to offer their customers voice,
with full CLASS services, in addition to high-speed ADSL data service, at a
lower cost. This solution cuts an NSPøôs time-to-market and enables new
revenue-increasing services.ø©
øáWe take pride in having Telmax join our VoNGA partner program,ø© said Gil
Eyal, VP of Marketing and Sales at Tdsoft. øáThe combined broadband access
solution from Telmax and Tdsoft provides the ultimate carrier class VoDSL
solution for incumbent operators and new competitive operators and enables
them to expand their markets.ø©
