I think I should leave your questions to someone like Voltaire although I believe the answer is yes, so long as you are within your broker'ds margin guidelins. I think, though, similar to Polvie's remarks if you get too deep into margin you are vulnerable to a margin call.

Hi clapster,

hell not only can you write using margin money and this is something you won't see in any book - but you can write calls on top of calls increasing your return.

that is why the returns are phenomenal because they are putting up half but the return on investment would be calculated on just your portion.
