Cha2,

<< I thought I was doing a good deed - but the way was wrong >>

You did, however, go overboard in apologizing to him and to his credit I think he accepted it quite well on the Nokia thread. Thinking of Tero, I personally think that his defense of his long time thread adversary Maurice Winn on the Nokia thread was one of the great posts of this year on SI.

None of us serve any purpose on these boards if all we do is agree with each other. I see nothing wrong with engaging with passion from time to time, and the measure of an individual is to be able to quickly put it aside and get down to discussions at hand.

Meantime, I was kind of hoping Tero would "pi**" Lindy off some more so we could get Lindy back into a QCOM position and suffer through Qualcomm's comeback with the rest of us. <g> We have done this with CSCO a few times in our investing live's have we not?

Here's my take on Tero.

I have read his writings for years and while he writes very well, he couldn't hold his own with Maurice or Greg Powers. He did however do one thing I will always Thank him for. He helped me know I should buy QCOM in 97' & 98'.

Uncle FranQ was right on two counts recently,IMO. First, Tero was treated with courtesy on this thread, and secondly, there's room for alot of these companies in the near future.

For me, I'm comfortable knowing I heard Dr. Jacobs say in essence, about future GPRS & EDGE, "I've studied these and I'm happy to put HDR up against them". (Note that's my interpretation of his comments).

PS Pictures from LB's dance club are pretty good so alot of you folks need to be nice to me. <G>
