Michael, You're right about this: the two best reasons to vote against the Democrats are their timeless pandering to two big lobbies that support them: the teachers and the trial lawyers. First thing we do, lets get rid of the lawyers. Then the "education" departments in our nations universities should be disbanded. Teachers should have to get a real education and should be paid way more--enough to show we respect teaching and want the best people doing it This country will get serious about changing its educational system only when it is willing to put its money where its mouth is and pay to confer respect on teaching and attract the best.
