Helmstar Changes Name to CareerEngine Network, Inc. Reflecting Focus On Internet Recruiting Subsidiary

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 27, 2000--Helmstar Group, Inc. (AMEX:HLM) today announced that it will change its name to CareerEngine Network, Inc. and adopt the new stock symbol "CNE," effective March 28, 2000.

The new name reflects the Company's increased focus on its subsidiary, CareerEngine, Inc., a leading Internet recruiting network that operates over 20 career sites dedicated to individual industries and job categories.

"We recognize the high-growth potential of online recruiting and have targeted the fastest-growing sector in the industry: category-specific career sites," said George Benoit, Chairman and CEO of CareerEngine Network, Inc. In addition to the Company's name change, it will also launch its corporate website (www.CareerEngine.net) on the same day.
