It's a particularly striking adjective, because it seems to so well describe the man in a broader sense. He gives the impression of being puerile, and also so many of the things he says are puerile. His formulations are often puerile, and his conceptual grasp is so patently puerile.

Puerility is not the worst character flaw. It is less rebarbative than dishonesty. But it evokes a kind of haplessness and foolishness and, combined with his linguistic handicap (and I mean that literally; I think there is something wrong there, and wonder whether it was always as bad as this, or has he destroyed his brain with drugs or some damn thing-- this is not based on ANY knowledge, just on shock at the way he expresses himself) it makes him seem a simply ludicrous choice as a leader.
