< Flashing quotes on ECN's? I know lots of proprietary and retail daytraders who do the same thing and have for some time > But wasn't there just something out last week that the above was to be investigated? I'm not saying the above is right or wrong but it can move a stock. I've watched for the past few weeks as someone on ISLD shows up and increments their size on the ask by 8000 shares at a time on a stock I trade ... starting at 8000 and going as high as 72,000 ... and if they'd been hit they'd be dead by now if they were shorting since the stock is up 60% since they started "flashing" 2 weeks ago ... at first they scared away the 100 share bids with a flurry of small trades, taking out as many as 4 or 5 levels ... Dave
