Are you talking about McCain-Feingold, which is bipartisan? Was there a court decision that found it unconstitutional?

I didn't know the democratic party even had a finance reform position worth talking about. Gore has just pulled a fast one by trying to obfuscate his past criminal activity and at the same time grab some McCain supporters by being a Born Again Campaign Finance Reformer, is all I see. Clever and stinking.

W campaign finance reform program? Betcha it rapidly gets more comprehensive and elaborate in the coming months!

Let me explain: George Will thinks W's arguments against reform are puerile because they are characterized by their nakedly, almost childishly-shamelessly, self interested, character. It is considered more adult to offer defenses of policies framed with a greater reference to the common good. Silly, perhaps, but there we are.
