NG, There are linux boxes being made with the Athlon as we speak. they are a small but growing group. The OS is getting better at a far faster rate than windows and is very capable in controlled situations with IS manager or knowledgeable person. It is not reay for the common madn yet as it still need far more GUI isolation between the commands and the user. If you thought DOS was bad......try linux. Well, that is what WinX and 95/98/2K did.....tamed dos. Linux needs more taming for general uses before it will spread in consumer space. In a game box it can be in ROM and have a game GUI that is all the person is allowed to see. keep it in an iron straight jacket and make the game box. Bill
