Casaubon ... I may not be following the exchange of messages here ... but there is a flow of funds back to Japanese assets at this time of year so that the financial institutions can meet capital ratio requirements. The measurement is a one-off end of financial period reporting requirement ... ..domestic equities can be counted towards the capital base, whereas foreign assets cannot. Its always a stretch for them to meet the ratio's (GG). Hope I'm on the same wavelength as the question. Stephen
