Lotta sense in what you say, especially regarding the econ #'s. Next monday will be interesting in light of the poor YTD performaance of all market major averages. We'll see which market he has his ax out for. Sometimes you think he just wants to come out and bash a few stocks! AG,"JDSU,BRCM,ELON, they're all over priced and I'm gonna keep raising rates till those stocks come down"!!!! Earnings will be interesting as well, I heard National Semi blew out their # and got sold down pretty hard. Good to hear you got some green going, I'm hoping we get one more good rain before the spring kicks in.

Hi Greg, Congrats on the new thread. I am recommending stocks to my 35-year-old son for his IRA. We have 52sh QCOM (bought early Nov 99) and 25 JDSU (a recent buy). We have about five grand more to invest. He is not "into" the market (yet) and probably would not follow it frequently. I have DD'd BIOM, CREE, ELON, GMST, NTAP and RFMD...would you suggest we look at a stock, or put this relatively small amount into a "barnburner" tech/biotech fund? (Seems like you mentioned a fund a couple of months ago.) Again, congratulations on the thread. I will subjectmark it and check in frequently...glad when April 17th comes... again be able to read the boards. Regards, JJ
