I have little idea of the sums involved, and I doubt that you do either. There have been flaps over attempts at interference at the Washington Times, but it is my understanding that they have been generally resolved in favor of editorial independence. Perhaps I will look into it further, I don't know. Since I am not "pro- Moonie", I am not much interested in the question of its dubiousness. I am interested in whether it might appear to Bush analogous to speaking before numerous other religious groups which he does not endorse. Since I have little doubt that it did, and all you can do is reiterate why you think it should not have, we are at cross purposes......
