>I assume that would mean he was an insider of the of the firms Amazon bought.

A safer assumption is that he is a Kleiner Perkins partner who invested a small amount of cash in a private company Amazon purchased, usually a few weeks before such a purchase is announced.

It's a money printing machine! Junglee and Planetall were just the tip of the iceberg..

Hi Glenn,

Dallan Quass was/is a database expert who was one of the cofounders of Junglee. I don't know if he even stuck around through the AMZN buyout. More recently, he cofounded a company with a name I can never remember (Wowlabs? I know that's not right, but it is something similar) which, like Junglee, aims to automate data-extraction, though to a greater degree than Junglee claimed to.

Best of luck,

Ganesh
