One could say that the person being offended by the naked human body is the one with the problem. If I choose to color my hair purple I may offend someone. But it's their problem not mine.

The safety concerns in a machine working environment make sense. But working in an office or walking down the street naked isn't unsafe at all.

I could say, just control your sexual desires. Just like we do at the beach when looking at near naked girls. Besides, if someone weighed 600 pounds and was walking around naked I wouldn't get aroused at all. Just the opposite! LOL

Michael

A boom box doesn't make a good analogy. It's an active action. You're forcing someone to hear the noise you're making. If I am nude simply look somewhere else. You don't have to look at me naked.

If I am not mistaken (and perhaps I am), anti-nudity laws have been aimed at things like nudist beaches. The few nudists I have run across prefer to congregate with one another; they are not interested in striding around naked on city streets, trying to elicit sexual responses from their clothed brethren. In short, the nudists I knew (some quite elderly, btw) were not exhibitionists. Curiously enough, they seemed rather asexual types. They felt nudism was "good for the soul," in some sense.

So I say -- let them have their nudist beaches, nudist camps, etc. And are there any laws against that these days? Has Michael M. provoked us into flogging a dead horse? <g>
