Cheryl, Re: Asia and Nikkei.

At Yahoo you can click on the index and get the news releases. They are verifying the index value.

Yes things are interesting over there, the news is that they are selling techs ..techs...techs.. It will be interesting to see if the markets as they open globally continue the tech sell off. We will see in the morning. I noticed that the globex NAZ futures are only down $50+.

Saudi To Maintain Oil Cuts In Asia

". . . Saudi Arabia . . . could start to increase supply from May as, for operational reasons, April would be too soon after any decision in Vienna to increase output."

dailynews.yahoo.com

Wonder if this isn't responsible for tonight's action. I think one more month of oil prices at these levels is likely to pierce global share market bubbles decisively.

long time, no see'um! Glad UR okay. re: CRB: Most inflation watchers shifted about 4 years ago out of the CRB watching game and into the JCI (Journal of Commerce Index) watching game.

The reason CNBC gave at the time was simple: the CRB people had tinkered with the inclusion/removal of commoditiy components so many times it had lost current to historical relevance as an indicator.

Not so the JCI.
A lesser luminary is GSCI which might rank 2 in the short list of three, depending upon whether or not you were speaking to a GS shill<g>

Enjoy. Be well.
