polvie,

re:margined my ass off

Exercise care. This is a very dangerous market. The Naz is parabolic and such behavior usually doesn't end well. Not trying to tell you what to do, because I believe everyone must decide for themselves; just asking you to think about it. Good luck whatever you decide.

Hi pol,

You are making one big miscalculation worth maybe $11,000 per mo. this is a once or maybe twice a year situation where if the news is as impactful then one might do it, it looks as if you have assumed this is an every month affair, nope just every now and then. They do not have to. The truly stressless way is to do nothing and just pick up your money every month.

I feel if Mot. announced they were giving in it would be worth 75 to 80 points so why not take advantage.

So relax and don't be stressed, figure out something to do with your $11,000.

The other alternative is to just buy calls back after a good run at expiration and pick up the third we talked about.

I fail to see where you have more stress when you have more of the distressing stuff on hand to help you distress from the stuff that is stressing you severely. Just teasing.

Final analysis- Don't do anything, just figure out what to do with your additional $11,000 you now have in your equation.

As for MARGIN CALLS, there is no such thing as a margin call if you know how to use out of the money calls and leaps. Several people on the thread can bear witness to this because we have done it together. Any margin call you might have been given if that be the case you could have turned into a money making opportunity and laugh in the face of the calling broker if the stock is of quality.
