Wow! That poses a very interesting question for me. The earnings are scheduled for Thursday, April 20, I presume after the market closes. My April calls will expire on the next day, Friday April 21 (the 3rd Friday of the month) and so will have zero time value left. Do I liquidate the calls earlier and play the announcement with a different set of calls (say Julys or Octobers) or hang with the Aprils right to the end? I really hate holding calls as they evaporate time value. More on this as things develop. Scrapps, thanks for the correction. jess.
