Rogue Wave Software Receives Investment From the Intel 64 Fund

Company Ports Products Onto IA-64

BOULDER, Colo., March 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Rogue Wave Software (Nasdaq: RWAV), a leading provider of solutions for building customized e-commerce applications on Internet time, today announced that the Intel(R) 64 Fund has made an investment in the company. Rogue Wave has committed to developing optimized versions of its cross platform and Stingray product lines for Intel's upcoming IA-64 product family. Rogue Wave will develop products for 64-bit versions of Windows 2000, Linux, and Monterey operating systems for IA-64-based systems. The Intel 64 Fund investment was made in support of this commitment. This investment from the Intel 64 Fund will be used by Rogue Wave to develop their products on the new IA-64-based server platform and to optimize performance on the Intel IA-64, beginning with the Itanium(TM) Processor and to expand marketing activities.
