Excite@Home Partners With DoDots to Enhance Service for Business
Professionals On Work.com Leading Business Portal to Leverage DoDots'
Unique Technology

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Mar 13, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Excite@Home
(Nasdaq: ATHM), the leader in broadband, today announced that it has licensed
Dots(TM) technology from DoDots of Palo Alto, California. DoDot's unique
technology will enable live web content to be created outside the browser,
allowing users to access the Work.com service even when they are working in
other applications.

A comprehensive set of Work.com Dots(TM) will be available on the Work.com site
(www.work.com). With a single click of the mouse, users can access Dots(TM) that
will help search and navigate the service. For example, users will be able to
search for companies, news, and industries among other types of information from
the Work.com dots. Because the dots are small in size, a user can have multiple
dots open at the same time while taking up far less screen real estate than a
single browser window at full screen. DoDots(TM) distribution infrastructure
also allows Dots(TM) to be easily shared with others, much like e-mail messages,
which will aid in the further distribution of Work.com Dots(TM).

"This is a valuable addition to Work.com's service," said David Williams,
Work.com general manager, Excite@Home. "DoDots' technology will make Work.com a
more flexible tool in serving the needs of our business users."

Excite@Home and Dow Jones recently announced an agreement to form a new company,
Work.com that will build on the existing business portal. The new company will
leverage the portal experience of Excite and the premier business content of Dow
Jones, building on the initial success of the existing Work.com and Dow Jones'
dowjones.com.

ExciteAtHome launches new high-speed Web service
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., March 13 (Reuters) - ExciteAtHome Corp. said on Monday that it is launching an online service that combines high-speed access from AtHome with new media and personalized content from Excite.
The AtHome 2000 service will allow first time customers to take advantage of the new high-speed content developed by Excite, the company said.

The service is expected to be available the week of March 27 for AtHome subscribers in the United States. Subscribers will then automatically begin to receive the new Excite high-speed content and the upgraded Internet service provider.

The AtHome 2000 service will become available to AtHome's overseas markets over the next 12 to 18 months.

The service gives consumers a faster Internet connection, personalized and local content and rich media. Users can have seven e-mail accounts and a software package with a browser designed for high-speed usage and a personalized Excite high-speed portal, Excite said.

Several weeks ago ExciteAtHome said it was considering offering its high-speed Internet service over telephone lines to reach homes that are not equipped to receive the service over cable lines.
