Not so fast, Les. Nobody has to lose their jobs, they just need to be retrained in more productive forms of labor. Remember the transformation of the USA from am agricultural economy to an industrial one? While employment fell in the agricultural sector from 50%+ at its high point to the present 2-3%, the slack was taken up by the manufacturing sector, while the overall economy became more productive. And what, IYO, caused the rival PC sellers to exit the market? Were they doing a favor to DELL or did they have a less efficient production model and hence could not compete?
