yes, but even so, some stocks will stay relatively stronger than others. you'd be better off putting what's already weak. i agree there seems to be no fundamental reason for buying Dell, but it makes like it wants to break out on the chart...AND people are buying lots of puts on it.
you see this time and again in this crazy market. a stock with deteriorating fundamentals gets heavily shorted, and then they jam it up...
