If there are only 5000 daytraders and they trade 30 times would that not add up to 150,000,000 shares at 1000 share per trade average? My question is who is trading the other 850,000,000 shares or more on the Naz?

Just interesting how the "cowboy daytraders" have caused all of this volitility??? I can never make the numbers add up.

This is my first post here. I can't believe I didn't find this board earlier. Eric has done a great job!

Quick re-cap...I have daytraded for about a year and 1/2, and have been profitable since month 8.

Does anyone believe that there are only 4-5000 traders? If that is true, I think I have seen about half of them post on the SI boards alone.

Does most everyone here use a direct-access broker?
