Advertising? Does anyone here know if AMD has launched any advertising campaigns to general consumers - featuring the Athlon? I know they got some free advertising with GTW and Roadrunner, but it seems GTW has the Intel spot running in heavier rotation the the AMD spot. (that kind of makes me worry).

An Intel fan on this board posted that his friend wanted him to build a computer - and didn't want anything short of a Pentium. That's the general perception, still. Regardless of what investors think of the chip, the average shopper doesn't read benchmarks and The Register.

IMO, AMD needs to spend some money in general awareness of the Athlon. Actually, IMO they should have been spending money all along in first quarter. A $25 million campaign would go a long way for awareness - with consumers and investors alike.
