TurboLinux Opens Offices in Latin America; Offices Set Up in Argentina and Brazil, New GM Named
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 14, 2000--TurboLinux, Inc., the high performance Linux company, announced today it is opening TurboLinux offices in Argentina and Brazil, has signed up leading distributors, resellers and training centers, and has appointed Fernando Skrobacki its new general manager for Latin America.
Skrobacki, who will run TurboLinux Latin America from the company's new office in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was formerly the general manager of Linux Center, one of Latin America's largest Open Source education and support services companies.

TurboLinux has signed Latin American distribution agreements with Unisel and Intersoft Group in Argentina, MSD Multimedia in Brazil and Bergusa Internacional and MPS Mexico in Mexico. TurboLinux products are available in hundreds of stores in Latin America, including Compumundo, Garbarino, Musimundo, Office Depot, Office Max, Price Club, Sam's Club and Tower Records.
TurboLinux is partnering with Linux Center to offer training and support services in Latin America. TurboLinux will provide customers with support in both Spanish and Portuguese.
