You are not alone on that regret. Many of us would be much richer today if we had sold then. At least we know it can happen.

Amateur TA Time. Compaq is still in an up trend. Stochastics and MACD still positive. Above average volume confirms buy signals.

CPQ short-term trading. I've done it 3-4 times between 25-27 and 31-35. Successful each time. The reason is that this stock is undervalued and has so much going for it longterm that the lows just never hold. IBM and UIS the same kind of stocks. Trying to recover from perceptions that they are slow growth companies. Stock prices depressed compared to peers. But each is a gem and a longterm great value here. Can hardly lose buying on the dips. But until perceptions stabilizes you're best off selling on 2-3 day spike-ups. UIS 26-34, IBM 102-119.
Someday they will break out of this range but not yet.
