Umbilical cord...gives absolute ownership of the infant/fetus/embryo to the Woman who's body is supporting the life of said lifeform.

I don't support the killing of infants that have become viable independently of the Mother's blood supply.

The infant belongs to and is part of the Mother's body.

If She wants to abort, She will.

-with or without societal sanction.
