Vancouver, British Columbia--

Management of Northern Crown Mines is giving consideration to a
change of business for the company. Northern Crown has been in
the business of mineral exploration since 1987.

Several opportunities within the North American technology sector
have been presented to Northern Crown for review. Should a
technology-related opportunity meet value-added criteria, such
acquisition by the Company would likely be facilitated through a
"reverse takeover" style of transaction.

Completion of an acquisition is not yet assured and will be
entirely contingent upon on successful due diligence, negotiation
of terms and the obtaining of regulatory and shareholder
approvals.

Northern Crown has a Toronto Stock Exchange Listing, a U. S. SEC
20F Registration, a strong shareholder base, an estimated $12
million capital-loss pool, and assets exceeding liabilities.
Accordingly, technology-related companies seeking financing by
way of an entry into the public marketplace have targeted
Northern Crown as a viable reverse-takeover candidate.

Northern Crown proposes to dispose of its Guadalupe Gold-Silver
Project in Mexico. Such disposition will be either by direct sale
or option/joint venture to an operating participant. Inquiries
from potential buyers are invited.

Northern Crown's annual general meeting is scheduled for Friday,
May 12, 2000, at which time special resolutions relating to the
transactions contemplated above may be presented for shareholders
approval.

The Company has issued 338,905 common shares in its capital stock
to John S. Brock Limited pursuant to the conversion of interest
in the aggregate amount of $20,260 owing under a promissory note
previously issued by the Company to John S. Brock Limited. It was
previously announced that the principal amount of the promissory
note was converted into common shares of the Company.
