I'm surprised that MU shot up earlier today. I agree with your feel for stock - unless they blow away the numbers it is likely to move down after earnings IMO. A few days ago one of the analysts upped his target for Micron with comments that memory prices were moving up. Yes they moved up - for about five days. Then they trended right back down and prices have moved lower for a broader range of memory configurations since then. More recent analysts comments that they upped ratings because memory prices had stabilized makes little sense - they are now 50%+ lower than they were at the first of the year and likely to go lower as we head into the slower business months of the year.

Let's hope for a euphoric rally into the earnings period for the semis - a time to buy puts and take profits.
