Well smart move IMHO.

I think the call prices have gotten extremely high on this puppy.

For example July 45 calls are running in $14 range.

You can buy at $52 and get a guaranteed 12-14% on the money within 3 months.

I just the AMD bulls have gotten too ambitious and are likely to be handed their heads for march.

The only thing that will kill the option writers is if AMD preannounce upward numbers for Q1.

However i think Jerry is very gunshy about forward looking public statements after the class action stuff last year.

I think the manipulators have had their day. Volumes are good, the stock is bucking the general market decline, we are over the Xbox fiasco, rumors all around of large profits for AMD this quarter.

Certainly I do not think AMD would have held up so well a couple of months ago. Some savvy institutional investors may be quietly accumulating AMD now.
