Tuesday, March 14, 2000 Morgan Stanley To Set Up Topix-Linked Fund TOKYO (Nikkei)--Morgan Stanley Asset & Investment Trust Management Co. plans to set up on March 31 an investment trust to track the performance of the Topix stock market index, with a view toward minimizing risk while increasing profit for investors. The fund will invest in about 150 different stocks, mainly large-capital stocks on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's first section, but Morgan Stanley will add registered over-the-counter stocks and shares from the Mothers market to try to improve performance. The initial subscription period will be March 21-30. (The Nikkei Financial Daily Tuesday edition)
