Kash: re: Frankly if you have a substantial position in AMD calls with its high call prices: I would be pretty worried.

regards,

Kash

Kash...Calls have worked out great with me on AMD (the one caveat being as long as I went a few months out on them). I have never had much luck playing the short term options.

There have been too many disbelievers here, especially some of the long term followers of AMD. I believe AMD is going considerably higher and will continue to trade options on the stock. The more leverage I can get to maximize my profits the better. I have already taken all the money I have ever invested in AMD options and returned it to kash and profits. Now I am playing purely with profits. Gambling it is, but it is money that can afford to be lost. Meanwhile, the profits from my stock holdings keep piling up. We all have different methods of investing and gambling. So far for me, AMD has been the motherload. No comments necessary, Paul.

Comment: My April and July calls far outweigh my March calls...My overall strategy since November has been to accumulate Jan Apr and July calls...So far so good! It's those in between less than 30 day to expiry calls that have been a bit of a drag, so far...Just have to see what pans out this week! Not a bit worried about my April and July calls as they are currently all in the money, having bought most of them back when AMD was at $40...My crystal ball says a close above $60 is much more likely than a close below $45 in the near term...with normal trading range between $50 and $60...Different opinions are what makes the market a very interesting place!
