ASSUMING Sun releases UltraSparc III systems within the next 5 months, they will leapfrog over IBM's Risc 6000s in performance. But, it will be a short reprieve since they will leapfrogged again by year end. Then, how long before Sun upgrades the silicon technology again? Another three years??? But, the most troublesome thing is that both will get eaten alive from the low end up by the Wintel vendors.

Twisty bits - yeah were just dumb and happy momentum day traders whove been in Sun and posting on this board since 1996! your the one who should focus less on the price of Sun in the last 2 days and IBM press releases and think deeply about your missed opportunities.

Whether were in the 5th inning, top of the fourth, bottom of the 9th your still a looooooser (in that family way you talk about of course)!!
