Any particular reason why you think Attorney Grudberg's quote is significant? Do you attach significance to his use of the word "morning" versus shortly after noon technically being "afternoon"?

Attorneys are usually very careful with their choice of words.

If it was shortly afternoon he still would have had to arrange a meeting. I find the lack of an arrangement of the meeting significant.

The implication is Jim did not follow through with his plans to meet with Suzanne in the morning because he knew it would be a waste of time. I find it highly unlikely that an attorney would have said something that would have placed Jim in such a light. Therefore I believe he was misquoted.

Whether or not the attorney was misquoted..I believe the issue of how and when Jim was to discuss the thesis with Suzanne is significant. It would have required a meeting. Someone would have had to initiate it. Jim would have been the likely person as he would know when he was ready. The other option would have been for Suzanne to contact Jim...but this would have most likely been discussed when Suzanne dropped off her paper. Jim makes no mention of this. Somehow there had to have been some kind of understanding about some kind of meeting.

The paper was due Tuesday. Indications were that Jim had read the paper Friday night...was he done? If he was not then when was he going to finish? Saturday morning? No reports of that...he went jogging. So was he procrastinating and planning on working Saturday night? Sunday? Would he have waited until Monday knowing the paper was due Tuesday? He admits having been late responding on the previous go round. Why continue in the same vein?

I believe Suzanne had one thing on her mind..the Thesis. She did not have much time left..the ball was not in her court...at minimum she was held up waiting for the input of her advisor. If he was not planning on helping he should not have indicated he would do so. She was very upset about it per a friend and her parents. I do not think she was in a partying mood.

I find a disconnect between Jim's perception of the situation and Suzanne's. He seems totally oblivious to the fact that Suzanne was upset. Even if she hid her feelings at the time...he still seems perplexed by the fact she was upset as indicated in the 20/20 transcript (I believe he asked why? when someone brought up the subject.)

I believe a senior thesis could be a very significant issue so I find it strange that Jim does not see it.

Any issue that deals with a meeting in the time frame or expanded time frame of the murder is a significant issue. How and when this particular meeting was to take place should be answered IMO.
