Stockalysis: you still don't get it. Intel wants Rambus to succeed. It has made it as clear as possible that it will support Rambus in many ways, including tying its most important new product, the Willamette, to a strictly Rambus solution. Next year 1 gig. machines will be like 600 Megahertz machines are today. But you can't push all that data through a soda straw. What is the alternative DDR2? Show me where it can be found and where I can buy some?

That's like saying games written for orginial Sony playstation will only have same game experience on Playstation II.
Most people will migrate to newer apps for PS II and more realistic graphics
