Victor: In fairness to our young friend, he is looking at Rambus from "traditional" perspectives. If Rambus goes from $1 in earnings this year to $6 in earnings in 2001, then his attitude toward the company will change even if he keeps the same traditional perspectives. You and I are old enought to remember when MSFT broke out, or QCOM. There were specific moments when it became clear through all the haze that a certain company had the game won. I think we are much closer to that realization with Rambus. In six months we should know for sure.

RDRAM will provide virtually no benefit to the average pc user, unless you're an engineer or use other high bandwidth programs you're wasting $400. Even if the price were reduced 50% where is the value for people that use everyday home/office software applications?
