The new economy meets the old wealth building economy method?

Old economy started with the industrial revolution, so it seems. But the oldest economy started with model city creation. Cities were planned and built. People migrated to the new city to find work and make a living.

Believe it or not, city planning started with "subdivision". Track houses that Levitt built on Long Island is nothing new. Even recreation hall and golf courses for the development is merely commons in the center of cities.

The new economy is now defining the size of population and designing cities or towns or villages with commons and shopping malls with financial service centers. Service industry is the backbone of the new economy. High standard of living is based on service availability. Over 37% of the population will be in the service industries, such as distribution of goods and financial related services. 28% of the population will be working in restaurants, repair shops, and fast foods, etc. Industrial production will have less than 15% of the population, what with fully automated production and assembly equipment. Government may hire 10%. Unemployment and retired people made up the rest 10%.

Subdivision of our land will plan the job distribution across the new economy. We have hardly begin the new economy revolution, replacing the old with the new; obsolescence, replacement and recycling.
