Sify Press- SATYAM INFOWAY TO BUILD ITS INTERNATIONAL GATEWAY, IN ASSOCIATION WITH SINGTEL

PRESS - February, 2000.

Chennai (Madras), March 14, 2000- Satyam Infoway Limited (Nasdaq: SIFY), the premier Internet and E-Commerce company, in partnership with SingTel will soon be launching its private International Gateway to the Net. The private International Gateway will be located at five strategic cities in the country and will make a marked difference to the speed of Internet access to the Net.

Mr. R. Ramaraj, CEO and Managing Director, Satyam Infoway said, "We are glad to be building our own International Gateway, since we now will have a greater control on the service we offer to the consumers. In this venture, SingTel has been the obvious choice because of its technical expertise".

Satyam Infoway's International Gateway in five different locations in the country will enable Internet users to access globally available data faster and provide enhanced service to the customers. Soon, with its own International Gateway, Satyam Infoway can meet its full requirements of bandwidth in excess of 100 mbps.
