There's also a lot of smoothing in the data so that inflation will be remain higher into a recession. There's plenty of upward substitution of products in good times that accounts for much of inflation, such as bigger cars, newer appliances, more expensive stocks, etc. versus the BS' application of downward substitution.

Skeeter, AG may not trust the stats but I don't trust AG thus far he has done everything to mortgage the country's future in order to perpetuate the bubble. Like most politicians they think only short term. The end result will be tougher tough love and more violent economic violence. Mike ho ho ho
