Following Monday's frightful session, the markets are
strutting and striding their bullish gaits this morning.
Emboldened by a healthy retail sales report, and
ready to shop for hard-hit tech stocks, U.S. investors
chased bears back into hibernation---for now.

Compaq Computer (NYSE: CPQ - news) rose $1.75 to $30.50 after announcing
the launch of new SANworks software products and with it the company's
entrance into the Open SAN Storage resource management market. Shares are up
12% in the last five days of trading.
