You are correct. However, to US investors there is no difference between this and the traditional 4 for 1 stock split. Indeed, all US investors buying LDP on the NYSE are getting the ADR/ADS, not the underlying common.

It is my understanding that the company can accomplish this "split" as quickly and cost effectively as they did because it does not require shareholder approval to do so whereas a split of the common would require such approval and proper authorization of shares before it could become effective.
