Hi James I just saw your post on Ike's thread. IFLO makes the devices not the pain relief substance correct? Any idea what the substance is and who it's made by? Niv

Calvin:

You're correct... IFLO makes the devices that deliver the pain medication... The particular medications used are prescribed by the doctors... Companies like Merck, Pfizer, and Eli Lilly make a variety of pain killing drugs... So, I imagine that all of their pain killing drugs are used in IFLO products... There are 39 million surgeries performed in the U.S. each year... The new 5 inch pain management catheter biz.yahoo.com gives IFLO a bigger share of this market... If you add in overseas surgeries we are probably talking about about 100 million per year...

I found this with regard to your question as to what drug is used in PainBuster. My assumption is that it is supplied by many pharmaceutical companies, since I couldn't find anything on it to the contrary. My find was lifted from a Surgical/Medical/New Terms Glossary used for medical transcription. A thorough search of the "P" section never did turn up PC2000. Maybe next year.
