Re: The so-called "broader range of support circuitry" was a vaporware, most advertised parts were not even designed at the time of advertising.... So the Gigahertz PIII is just following a grand tradition :-) Your post is another great example of why this list is so much fun. I know a little about the MPU business and how it got to where it is today, but so many posters here know so much more than I do, and I really enjoy the chance to follow the discussion and learn more about both the technical and business sides - and, of course, it helps us all make better investment decisions.
