Merrill analyst Joseph Osha said Micron is doing well because other manufacturers are concentrating on making more profitable flash memory and other chips, thus limiting capacity. A consolidation of Korean chip manufacturers also is lending to capacity constraints, he said.

Osha rates Boise, Idaho-based Micron a 'buy' and raised his 12-month price target to $150 from $120.
